In this phase,
Alsbridge assists clients to transition services to the selected
supplier(s) and will provide sourcing industry expertise to
the client to ensure effective supplier and service delivery
management process for each sourcing event. Major tasks during
the Transition period include:

- Provide input and guidance to the implementation plans developed by the supplier
- Develop a risk management key event checklist to identify risk
- Review project plan during and provide input to the client and supplier project managers
The following are examples of issues that should be addressed:
- How and when will the employees directly affected by the outsourcing initiative be advised?
- How and when will the employees unaffected by the outsourcing initiative be advised?
- What will be offered to each of the employees who:
- Will be asked to remain with the organization in another capacity?
- Will be asked to move to the supplier?
- May be asked to move to the supplier?
- Will be terminated?
- How will the offers be presented?
- How and when will the employees who will move to the
vendor do so (for example, in a staged transition or one-time
transition)?
- How and when will the other (non-employee) factors of
production be moved to the provider?
- What flexibility are we building into the plan?
- What alternative plans should be considered?
- How will we know if the transition is being implemented
properly/poorly?
- Do we have a contingency plan in case unforeseen problems
arise?
- How will the organization respond to crisis, real or
perceived?
